    Our FAQ

    Got questions? We’ve got answers

Ours uses only the most experienced translators (with over 5 years of practical experience) who know how to write official orthographies in their respective languages in order to deliver quality work.
We meet deadlines and we deliver all work according to specifications. We don’t want any client to return to us because of poor products.

Interpreters work with spoken words (consecutive or simultaneous), translators work with written texts/documents.

Afrikaans, German, Portuguese, Khoekhoegowab, Oshindonga, Oshikwanyama, Otjiherero, Rukwangali, Rumanyo, Setswana and Silozi.

Send an e-mail to info@namtranslations.com and we will calculate the number of words for your document.
If you don’t have an electronic copy of a document to be translated please scan email it to us at least one page.

Of course you do, if you just ask for a quote and it exceeds your budget you need to make an offer. The advice here is that don’t talk to the quote but negotiate with the person who sent you the quote for a better deal.

The most important factor in calculating the overall price of your translation is the number of words (word count).
Other factors that may influence the price of translation are as follows:

    • type of translation (technical or plain language)
    • type of proof-reading
    • deadlines
    • document format
    • how would you like your translated document to be presented back to you
    • what level of specialist knowledge is required

At this stage we don’t have any vacancies, we will advertise it on our website if we have one.

By submitting the documents on time so that at least two translators would work on the documents.
The ideal situation is for a second translator to verify what the first translator did this is called quality assurance translations. It is strongly recommended that the work of the first translator is validated by a second translator because the first translator is unlikely to see all his/her mistakes due to time pressure.

Reputable Companies can enter into an agreement to settle invoices within 30 days otherwise individuals can negotiate when to pay.
50% deposit sometimes is required or the client should pay within 7 days of receiving the work if not cash on delivery basis.

There are few English/Oshiwambo Sworn translators, unfortunately at this stage we do not have sworn translators in all local languages in Namibia.
